Why We Love It:
Cheyenne Common Privet has panicles of lightly-scented white flowers hanging below the branches from late spring to early summer. This hardy large shrub is great for trimmed hedges and takes pruning exceptionally well. On its dense branches, interesting flowers start to sprout and, if not pruned, are followed by black berries in fall.
Know Before You Plant:
This shrub will require occasional maintenance and upkeep, and can be pruned at anytime. It is very easy to grow, but gardeners should be aware it is known to easily become diseased. Stop on in to our store if you find this issue for some product recommendations! It tends to be a little leggy, with a typical clearance of 1 foot from the ground, but is still suitable for planting under power lines.
Where It Thrives:
This is a selected variety of a species not originally from North America. It grows at a fast rate and handles polluted city conditions well. his shrub does best in full sun to partial shade. It is very adaptable to both dry and moist locations, and should do just fine under average home landscape conditions.
