- Exposure: Full sun
- Bloom Color: soft yellow and pink
Why We Love it:
Showy lightly-scented semi-double yellow flowers with pink edges at the ends of the branches from late spring to mid fall is only one reason this rose is different from the rest of them. This shrub has an upright spreading habit of growth making it stand out from other landscape plantings. And a bonus for us in Waukesha, it will last through the winter with a late winter pruning.
Know Before You Plant:
This shrub will require occasional maintenance and upkeep, and is best pruned in late winter once the threat of extreme cold has passed. It tends to fill out right to the ground and therefore doesn’t necessarily require facer plants in front. A low mounding habit makes it perfect for the garden, along walks, or as an informal hedge.
Where it Thrives:
This shrub should only be grown in full sunlight. It does best in average to evenly moist conditions, but will not tolerate standing water. It is not particular as to soil type or pH. It is somewhat tolerant of urban pollution. This particular variety is an interspecific hybrid.
