Sensation Lilac is a multi-stemmed deciduous shrub with an upright spreading habit of growth. This plant has fragrant panicles of rich purple flowers with each individual petal trimmed in white an heart-shaped leaves throughout. Know Before You Plant:
Sensation Lilac will grow to be about 15 feet tall at maturity, with a spread of 12 feet. This plant tends to sucker and may look a little leggy with a typical clearance of 2 feet from the ground. For those who have lots of issues with deer here in Waukesha, this plant is not particularly attractive to deer making it a great addition for the lawn.

Where It Thrives:
This is a high maintenance shrub that will require regular care and upkeep, and should only be pruned after flowering to avoid removing any of the current season’s flowers. It is highly tolerant of urban pollution and will even thrive in inner city environments such as West Allis or Milwaukee.
